Northern Bend is a Steamboat Simulator that took place in an early 1900's river boat town. Using Unreal Engine 4, the project was created by Ferris alumni for the Grand Rapids Public Museum. My role within the project consisted of story boarding, logo design, UI design and the creation of various 3D assets.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jonathan is a driven individual who takes great pleasure working with others. He enjoys bringing a light heart and positive attitude to the project, encouraging teammates along the way. Jonathan’s primary focus has been on hard surface asset creation (modeling/texturing) but also enjoys working with video and visual effects. Recent experience heavily revolved around Photo-Realistic Rendering (3DS Max/Vray), Materials, Lighting and Post-Production.
He works exceptionally well with feedback and direction, understanding the high importance of receiving advice. Jonathan wishes nothing more than to work hard, be a key team player and everyday sponge for continuous growth in a challenging industry. His greatest desire is to find himself working in an exceptional culture where people, relationships and teamwork are greatly valued.
Jonathan grew up with a video game controller in-hand and was his childhood love. Playing came natural and was privileged to grow up during the early and booming states of the video game industry. This later turned into an idea of pursuing a career and found a love for 3D modeling/asset creation. Another great passion resides in film, primarily in the science fiction and fantasy genre. For Jonathan, either in film or games, the main draw point has always been storytelling. You can have all the fireworks of art and technical advancements but without a solid story the entertainment product will lack any true substance. Jonathan is extremely motivated at the thought of working with others in the effort to create amazing products.
